AdaptationUK envisions a United Kingdom where resilience, innovation and collaboration flourish in response to climate change. We see a future where the public and private sectors, civil society and government unite with a shared commitment to sustainable, just, climate-resilient prosperity.
What is AdaptationUK?
AdaptationUK is a place for people and organisations who are preparing the UK for a climate-changed future to come together, exchange ideas and collaborate in order to accelerate the speed at which we adapt. To support this network, we offer free-to-access know-how, organise climate adaptation meetings and conferences and increase awareness of the need for climate adaptation in the UK.
Our activities are organised as follows:
| COMMUNICATE |
| News – we produce a monthly news digest on all things climate adaptation. This covers new regulations, exciting projects, the latest technology, emerging climate risks and the movers and shakers in this space. Knowledge Repository – we maintain a library of case studies, best practice guides and links to other useful resources. |
| CONVENE |
| Conferences and webinars – our inaugural conference in 2024 will showcase the opportunities and need for adaptation, as well as being a forum for networking and collaboration. Look out also for deep-dive webinars on topic and industry specific subjects. |
| CATALYSE |
| Policy and Public Affairs – we help businesses and civic society engage with government in drawing up effective and timely regulation. Finance – we facilitate access to funding for venture and growth stage businesses, as well as adaptation project finance. Directory – we provide an up-to-date directory of organisations involved in climate adaptation in the UK. |
